    Sorry, but no you don’t need carbs. There are essential amino acids. There are essential fatty acids. There are essential vitamins and minerals. There are no essential carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are not necessary for building other molecules, and we can obtain all the energy we need from fats and proteins.

      Sorry Jeff, you are wrong. Humans cannot survive without carbs. Humans need healthy carbs in their diet. Eliminating carbs and replacing them with protein/fats increase saturated fat intake, which increases the risk for heart disease. Zero carb intake means you are not getting any fiber, so good luck in the john. Lastly, Ketosis, a state in which there is incomplete fat breakdown that causes nausea, general weakness, dizziness and posting of inaccurate and dangerous information online.
