So how can I get more broccoli into my life?
  1. Look for a recipe you like. Our Pinterest Healthy Recipes board has lots of broccoli options. Don’t give up on broccoli!
  2. Try roasting broccoli and keeping it around as a handy snack. The next time you peek in the fridge for a snack that’s ready, it will be ready to go.
  3. Steam it, chop it up and “sneak” it into other dishes, like stir fries, rice dishes, casseroles, pizza and omelets.
  4. Don’t be a stickler for the stems – when kids or grown ups first are introduced to broccoli, it’s not always the easiest part to eat or digest. Go easy on folks who aren’t quite used to it.
  5. Eat it raw, dip small florets in soy sauce and bon apetit…

Nutritionfacts.org has more information, but the antioxidants in broccoli are produced when you chop or crush the broccoli before you cook it. So when making a broccoli soup, cut or blend it before cooking it.

Fire up the Google and look up Gordon Ramsay’s broccoli soup.

Pretty much a bowl of pureed broccoli with salt and pepper and a drizzle of olive oil.

Top with some goat cheese and perhaps some chopped nuts.

Simple and far better than you’d think from the teeny ingredient listing.
