    For Christmas Eve I’m serving roast duck (bought from the local butcher – locally raised), roasted potatoes, glazed carrots and salad with stollen for dessert. For the vegetarian (that’s me) I’ve prepared a mushroom pie. Other than the stollen, it’s all cooked from scratch, organic, and bought from local farms.

    For Christmas Dinner, I’m serving turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots, and slow-cooked squash with apples, cranberries and almonds. For the vegetarian, I’ve prepared another variation of a mushroom pie, with potatoes and some different herbs. Other than the cranberries, all ingredients are organic and bought from local farms.

    Can’t wait to enjoy! No kitchen gadgets for me for Christmas this year. Though KitchenAid mixers are on sale for 50% off on Boxing Day at the local Canadian Tire…
