What are the 10 Most Popular Product Scans on Fooducate?

It’s been a month since we launched the Fooducate iphone app. That’s enough time to start seeing some trends. We wondered which products are the most popular.

Here then is the list of top ten scans:

1. Nutella – Hazelnut Spread

2. Coca-Cola – Coke

3. Coca Cola – Diet Coke

4. Jif – Creamy Peanut Butter

5. Cheerios

6. Honey Nut Cheerios

7. Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars,  Oats ‘N Honey

8. Kashi Cereal

9. Kraft – Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

10. Maruchan – Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

Obviously some of these are not the healthiest foods out there, but that’s the beauty of Fooducate’s app – it always offer healthier alternatives to choose from.

If you’ve been using the app, we’d love to hear what you’ve scanned, what you have learned, and what changes if any, you’ve made to your shopping list.

And if you don’t have the app, be sure to download it before your next supermarket trip!

I’m dying for this to be made as an android app.

  • Stacy

Using it and love it. It’s mainly helped me educate my hubby that there are better choices for cereal and enhanced water drinks. Better than me nagging, it must be so because the app said so

  • Liz

    Influences my buying decisions.

  • Mari

I’m gonna apologize for scanning everything in my kitchen last night..once you start…it’s really hard to stop.

  • Anna

Too bad this app is only available to people with iPhones/AT&T… What about the rest of the smartphone market?

  • Jasen

Just found this app and love it. Spend more time scanning junk food just to try and see how bad some things are like soda. Personally I like the alternatives tab and use it to try and find something better.

One area I would like to see improved is the compare tab. Would be nice to have option to pull an item from your history.

    Keep up the great work.

    @sara
THIS! Android phones are less expensive and carried under more plans. I’d love to see this app and honestly, more companies’ apps carried on Android phones as well as iphones.

  • Malcolm

Seems like alot of people are asking for an Android app. Well add me to the list of non-iphone users who would love to see this on my Droid!
