Creative Ad for Veggies

December 12th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

This is an ad promoting vegetarianism, entitled “All you need are fruits and vegetables.” Gets the point across rather nicely, don’t you think?

If you’re wondering what the intestines are made of, that’s ginger root.

Enjoy the weekend!

While it’s way cool, I’m not super positive that this image will inspire folks to eat more veggies.
We do need media messages that will encourage people to eat more good food….perhaps utilize the same strategies that the food industry does. Create a catchy song, use celebrity endorsements. I was involved in a project like this last summer with HUMMUS of all things. Check out this music video we co-created featuring the “lowly chickpea”

I agree with Dr. Susan – I think it’s those compacted ginger roots that look positively unappetizing – and perhaps painful. Wonder what other veg they could have chosen to resemble healthy pink intestines? :-)
